Mental Attitudes

Learn to create your own atmosphere. Look around you and focus on what you DO have, rather than what you don't have. An attitude of gratitude is a great antidote for stress and depression.

CELEBRATE! Make mini-celebrations for the good things that come your way. By so doing, you will be creating warm memories that will help sustain you during difficult times.

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? Stay in touch with your subconscious mind. You may be having negative inner conversations which are extremely debilitating. Replace your negative thoughts with happy memories or dreams yet to be fulfilled. The rewards will be a stronger immune system and a deeper sense of serenity.

RE-DEDICATE! When it seems times are tough, draw an imaginary line, step over it, and realize you have a brand-new beginning. That puts everything behind you. An artist working on a painting won't keep the painting if it isn't turning out the way he envisions it in his mind. He can only 'repair' so many times before he throws out the canvas and gets a fresh, new start on a new canvas. You can do the same with your life. Put everything behind you, learn from your errors, step over the imaginary line and start afresh without lugging baggage from the past.
